Hina Kawai - Love Hina

Hina Kawai - Love Hina
Air Control / Melon

The Skinny: Can’t really call this the skinny. Hina Kawai and the term ’skinny’ haven’t really been used in the same sentence since — well how about since my last review. Hina is anything but skinny. Let’s call her stacked and packed. And throughout this DVD she will be struggling with her tops to keep her large and full bust-line within the cups of whatever costume she’s wearing.

Air Control Melon have been pumping out these 90 minute DVD’s for some time. Just like words like demure, wholesome, and cute no longer have a foothold in any description of the Gravure Idol business, they have also abandoned the 40 to 50 minutes long DVD. [Of course, I am as capable as anyone of being wrong, as Hina’s newest DVD, In Your Eyes, is only 52 minutes. But it isn’t an Air Control title.]

It’s all in the economics. The production houses have to not only compete for the consumers dollars or should I say yen, but they must also contain contain costs. Why send a crew off to a tropical resort only to produce a short DVD?

But Hina Kawai’s figure is decidedly uneconomical. There’s lot’s of fabric needed to stabilize her breasts. Heck, there’s lots of cloth needed just to cover them. And that’s the theme of this DVD which they’ve entitled Love Hina.

Our model spends a good amount of time adjusting her bra, making sure her boobs fit into the bikini top, pulling, tugging, and repositioning her straps, cups, or her boobs constantly so the exposure is minimized rather than maximized. It wears on you after awhile.

Hina also spends an inordinate amount of time brushing off sand from those hard to reach places. The cameras always are right there to record these repetitious events. Oh well.

This is a long DVD - there’s a lot of chapters and they are rather lengthy - often too long by half. The music is nothing special and the direction is mundane. But folks, that does it for the complaints.

Saipan has never looked better. The blue skies are endless, and throughout the entire DVD we are blessed with brilliant sunshine. Visually this is a gorgeous DVD. Crisp, sharp pictures…with almost no directorial excesses make this a pleasure to look at.

As I said this is a lengthy DVD with lots of chapters. There are far too many scenes for me to want to walk you through. And these chapters are far too alike for me to need to walk you through them.

Hina appears in a series of bikinis, tee shirts and shorts, and other assorted tank tops, bandeaux, midriffs, and what have you…I’ll bet Hina’s wardrobe required extra luggage which was so loaded that they cost the producers some freight surcharges on the flight down.

Another plus is that there’s no filler - Hina doesn’t speak at all until the making of segments. There’s no interviews, shopping tours, not even any straight talk or commentary by the model.

While Hina isn’t going to win any beauty contests - they do a nice job with her costumes, as well as the makeup. Kudos to the stylist. And lets give Hina a major compliment on her figure. Her breasts are very full and very large…and that’s the way we like them.

Summary - while this DVD might have been pared down to an hour with no loss of highlights, they do great work with the camera. Your mind may wonder during this DVD, but your eyes will be glued to your TV. Enjoy. Three point seven five is the rating.
