The Skinny: Once again, Nonami Takizawa has released a superb DVD. From the For-side.com/Gold label, this one, called My Darling, hits all of its marks, and delivers a great viewing experience for you gravure idol fans. There’s a lot of chapters in this DVD so let’s start immediately.

From the opening shot of the montage which finds Nonami-chan deep in the heart of a primordial tropical rain forest, you get the distinct impression that this is going to be a wonderful DVD. Just the few moments of the montage shows you that Takizawa-san is going to look great in the chapters that follow.

Chapter One begins our journey in earnest. Okay, that’s not quite right as we find Nonami asleep in her bed to begin with. And in this scene she never leaves the bed. So maybe we should toss out the word ‘journey’. But your imagination will go far as she wears a matching top and shorts in lieu of pajamas.

She will remove those to reveal a still matching set of bra and panties. Take note of the absolute wonderful lighting throughout this scene as we have a balance between the room and the natural light source coming in from outside via the window on the right. There’s a little bit of the over-white and over-bright initially, but mostly she’s positioned so this isn’t a factor.

Two finds Nonami romping on a spectacular beach. She’s full of energy, the sky is a rich blue color, and we hear the sounds of the surf as it rushes shore-ward again and again. Nonami is very playful here just as she was in the bedroom scene. This is one of the best beach scenes I’ve ever watched.

Three finds us poolside. Nonami is being shot at with water-guns. She’ll be in the pool afloat on one of those plastic floats, and she’ll be having the water gun fight throughout.

Chapter four is a change of pace, Nonami wears a blue knit dress. It is an off-the-shoulder affair with a short sheath skirt. The model is posed on a derelict bus or more likely it is a de-commissioned train car.

The scene is OK at best, and slightly dull at worst having neither highs nor lows. My opinion is that old and empty buses and trains are no longer intriguing locations for a model shoot. It’s been overused and overdone.

Chapter Five is a study in angles, and shapes - and not necessarily Nonami’s. It looks like she’s making her way up an open staircase. The direction has shots being made through the stairs, through the banister, and through some grill work. It’s more interesting for the shot composition than the shot content. Still there are worse things to do than watch Nonami Takizawa walk up a staircase clad in a brief costume.

Six is a throw away scene. Nonami appears on some sort of open field. It’s a beautiful grass field and she’s wearing a costume with ears and a tail. She hops and she shadow boxes us. Know what she’s costumed as? I didn’t get it at first either. But when she suddenly appeared with a mother and a baby in the pouch, it was clear that she was a boxing kangaroo. Likely we will discover that the location of the DVD is someplace in Australia. From here on mate, we will refer to it as Oz.

In Seven we are back at the beach. This is an extremely beautiful scene. Nonami wears sort of a slip; it might even be a dress. The colors of the sea and the sky are exquisite. They positioned her at a point on the shore were two separate current streams meet.

The net effect is almost kaleidoscopic. As you watch Nonami, you can’t hope but notice the cross currents colliding. It is as if he water was approaching her from both the ten o’clock direction and the two o’clock direction.

Here it isn’t so much about what Nonami is wearing or what she is doing. No, this scene is about the wonders of nature that occupy certain places on our planet. Just marvelous!

The eighth chapter is an aerobic work-out. Nonami work with stretching and bending, then she utilizes one of those large exercise balls that are also becoming a staple commodity in Gravure DVDs. Beginning with shorts and red see through top and ending in a white bikini, the scene offers us a glimpse of a limber body.

In nine, we finally get the visual evidence of where this DVD was made. Nonami is off to tour the Cairns Tropical Zoo. So we really are in Oz, as Cairns is one the most popular resort areas in Queensland, Australia. This is The Great Barrier Reef territory.

As for the zoo tour - iguanas, a rather lethargic crocodile, kangaroos, macaws, and a cute and cuddly koala bear are on the dance card.

Nonami washes the car next. And it is a big car - an Isuzu SUV. It’s a fun chapter with Nonami opening the scene wearing bright orange coveralls. Before long, she’s stripped down to a black bikini. Yes, we have the standard car-wash scene shot from inside the cars as Nonami is up on the hood washing the front windshield. Don’t miss the small rainbow created when the hose showers a mist over the car.

At this point we finally make our way back to the rain forest which was the setting of the opening shot of the montage. This is an interesting scene but ultimately a little disappointing. First off, the sunlight must find its way down to the stream bed where Nonami stands though the canopy of trees and vegetation. So while it is never dark, you will notice the sunlight is somewhat dappled meaning some areas are brighter than others.

The second is the backless, slashed to below the navel bathing suit she’s wearing. She is extremely conscious of the fact, that a single quick motion, and her huge boobs might escape, coming in to view as it were, from the flimsy cover that the costume provided. As a consequence she’s always got her hands positioned to make sure there are no accidents. Of course, this restricts her mobility. Everyone is aware of this problem, including the director as Nonami hardly moves from her opening position.

Check out this shot from behind which clearly shows how big her boobs are, and how little cover her costume provides.

Nonami heads out west - meaning she appears as a cowboy, er..cowgirl complete with chaps, boots, vest, a lasso rope, and a cowboy hat. There’s even a horse waiting by the fence in his paddock. This horse must be a boob-man as he is definitely interested in Nonami.

But she doesn’t ride the horse. Instead they pull a switcheroo on us and Nonami is riding a rubber tire hanging from a tree. Though she looks the part, we doubt she will be signing on with any rodeo in there near future.

In the next scene, Nonami is dressed as a psychedelic rock groupie very reminiscent of the how girls dressed in 70’s hippie era. We visited this same location with Nonami in her DVD Dear which I reviewed last year in December. So they made two videos on one trip. Anyway, the location is superb and that red flower that she sports is amazing - other than that I didn’t much like her costume. But you will notice the energy and action level in this chapter. Neither the camera nor Nonami-chan are still for a moment.

That was almost tiring to watch. How about a hot steamy shower next? OK - you got it. Chapter 14 takes place in the shower. Nonami wears a silk and lace bra and panties. It’s not really about soaping and scrubbing. What you get is a slow tour of Nonami’s breasts. It’s not that it is intended to be an erotic encounter, but it is slow and sensual. And you will feel like joining Nonami.

Fifteen finds her in the bedroom. It is another slow and languorous scene. I feel as if I am being seduced as I watch this scene. There’s no music - it’s just you and Nonami Takizawa.She doesn’t smile or flirt, instead she’s portraying desire in the simplest of ways - it’s all in the eyes, and that expression on her face that says, “Take me“!

And oh yes, a shot like you see below is one of Nonami’s main attractions.

Sixteen is about what you get when you combine electric colors and day-glow paint with new-age lighting. Again we are back in the seventies so to speak. You won’t appreciate Nonami for her charms in this scene as it is really about the skill of the art director creating the concept for the scene rather than the model making him look good.

Chapter 17 finds Nonami back in the role of the seductress. This time she wears a dress into the swimming pool. It is night but they’ve hauled in a lot of lights. She looks marvelous when wet - and after she removes the dress while in the water, you’ll be treated to a scene you will always remember.

Nonami floats on her back, and her magnificent breasts break the surface of the water, jutting upward. Just achingly beautiful IMHO. My only question is how did they keep the onlookers away from this scene.

Chapter 18 is a behind the scenes look at Nonami as the credits roll. We get a look at her just sort of clowning around, and her personality shows through. But wait, there’s more. Two more bonus scenes follow along with a small slide show.

Summary: Wow!. A simply superb effort by all. Nonami-chan is simply a very desirable woman. She’s on a trip to remember in Queensland, Australia - and they put a lot of effort into this package. Really - you must see this DVD and you will adore this model. From the music, to the design, from the editing, lighting, and sound, everything works.

I am waiting for Japanese TV to put her into some serious acting roles. And I am sure she’ll do well. For now, I’ll close this review with the score. A perfect score - five point point zero. Don’t miss it. Retail outlets below.
