The Skinny: The popular I-Cup cutie has been busy. Not only does she do gravure DVD’s - this is her 12th Idol DVD, but she’s also released some music CD’s and has appeared in a number of movies as well. Kudos to her agent. This DVD, Tappuri has some high points, however, there some negatives that need to be mentioned.

The montage gives some clues of what to expect. A lovely woman with a superb figure, enticing outfits, and some puzzling locations. For example, in the opening Chapter, we meet Hitomi dressed in a white on white blouse, a short black skirt, hose, and high heels.She looks as if she would be properly attired for an office.

Only she’s at some out-of-the-way location which could be a dirt road heading into a wooded area where some one has dumped some stuff. Hitomi will tear her stockings. then remove her blouse to show off a sexy bra. The skirt eventually comes off too. She looks great - when you can see her! Much of the scene suffers from being too dark.

Chapter Two follows in the same manner. A pouting Hitomi poses sexily in the same area as Chapter One, only this time we are at the abandoned construction site (no doubt the source of the dumped stuff in Chapter One. You can see the scaffolding behind Hitomi, which doesn’t really add anything to her allure. This scene, like the first one also suffers from the same inexplicable moments of darkness.

Movie-making 101: if the sole light source is behind the subject, (see above image) the front of the subject will be in the shadows. Maybe they skipped the class the day this was discussed.

Chapter three has one of Hitomi’s trademark costumes. We seem to see this so often in her DVD’s. This time she wears short overalls (the costume) without a shirt (the trademark). Her boobs are not supported in any kind of bra, and you can see the sides of her bust. Her action is to swing a baseball bat enough times that she wears herself out and collapses. And to make matters even stranger - all this happens on a football field. The skies were overcast, and this means that over the first three scenes, not only was the lighting off, but the producers haven’t spent any money at all. These locations were free. The only money they spent was the cost of the gasoline to drive there. Maybe they re-imbursed Hitomi for the torn stockings.

Four is on the beach (finally). The only thing about Hitomi’s costume that fits the scene is her visor. She’s attempting to play badminton by volleying with someone. Only her hand-eye coordination is dreadful.

Fortunately they soon abandon using the shuttlecock, so Hitomi only has to go through the motions instead of actually hitting. She looks fabulous doing so. Let’s give the producers some credit for turning a badly conceived scene into a winner.

Hitomi shows off in a wonderful form-fitting one-piece blue bathing suit in the next Chapter. Fans of Hitomi’s big boobs and lush bottom will have plenty to look at in this scene. She works with an inflated toy dolphin. She doesn’t do much except paddle around in the pool, but it is inspiring. As is watching come up the steps to exit the pool . Great stuff!

The next two scenes occur indoors. First Hitomi takes a bath then a shower. This is followed by her almost combing her hair, going through the motions of brushing her teeth, and then applying some skin lotion to her legs. While the bath and the shower worked fine, the after bath was a non-event.

 

An interview is next. I must admit that this is a presumption on my part, as I understood so little of what Hitomi said.There were some clues, as the scene had a series of dissolves. Hitomi would be speaking, then a dissolve to virtually the same shot, as if the questions were edited out, and all we saw were the answers. Some what tedious and dull if you do not understand Japanese. The one redeeming feature was that Hitomi wore a low-cut white sun dress which offered tempting views of her cleavage.

Next is a walk out on an old floating jetty. Hitomi wears cut down denim short which offered some cute views of her tush. On top, a scarf covered a portion of her boobs. Again we can easily see that she is bra-less, and they did show some scintillating side views of her large breasts.

An exercise in light and shadow is next. Unfortunately what we see is mostly shadow. There’s enough ambient light to reveal Hitomi in a dark one piece bathing suit (maybe). We get lots of partially revealed shots of her tush, and her cleavage, but mainly this scene fails as the viewer is asked to pay strict attention in the hopes that a) the lighting might improve, or b) we might see more of Hitomi’s lush curves.

Neither happens, so this scene gets my thumbs down. Showing us bits and pieces of the model in a low-light setting is most unsatisfying and clearly wastes precious minutes.

We are out in the woods next. There’s a small stream in view. Hitomi wears a see-through kimono over a black bra and panties set. She will shed her sandals and walk out into the stream bed. You can see the abundance of rocks and stones in the stream, so this must have been rough on her feet.

Eventually she settles down in the stream and soon the kimono and oba (sash) are removed and we see Hitomi in the stream in just the bra and panties. While this scene doesn’t qualify to be called dark, they might have found a brighter setting.

The last chapter has Hitomi out on the lawns with a first a water hose then a water gun. She wears a tiny micro bikini in metallic green with ghastly pink plastic shoes.

It’s played for fun, and while it isn’t a special scene, it odes show off Hitomi’s figure.

The credits follow playing along with a montage culled from the earlier scenes. A ten minute behind the scene follows. These have some cute moments, and there are some brief minutes of very good views of Hitomi Kitamura’s fabulous figure. There’s one moment where Hitomi is sitting on a swing this is right after the closing scene with the water gun. She is holding the water gun as if pointing it someone, but not shooting. The director approaches with the water hose and gives Hitomi a shot right in the kisser. Everyone seemed to think this was hilarious. They really caught her by surprise.

Summary: Best I can do is a lukewarm three point five. Maybe they were hampered by the lack of sunny days, and maybe their game plan included too many cheap locations, and poorly conceived settings. Lighting was an issue or a full-blown problem in too many of the scenes. For once I was looking for a brightly lit scene in her hotel room but it never happened. Hitomi Kitamura continues to be one of my favorite idols,

but this DVD will not win any awards. Retail English language internet web vendors are below.
