The Skinny: I guess we must say major changes have occured in Hitomi’s career. First, she’s dropped her last name Tanaka. However, I seriously doubt that Tanaka was her real name. Second and Third, in this DVD, she’s dispenses with her panties, and takes on a few men. And I mean she goes all the way; she does it all.
Lastly, and we have to wait more than 90 minutes for this - she finally reveals her huge boobs. Unfortunately for us, the powers that be over at SOD/Star have chosen to save this for last. In fact, Hitomi evens takes a cum-shot between her boobs as well as getting fucked before showing us her bust entirely free of any and all coverings. To the producers, stop with the sodding teasing already!!
I think that once you disregard the who, and look at the what, you’ll come away with the thought that this wasn’t much of a DVD. They begin with some gravure scenes, which are nicely done, and then have some discussions or interviews which are done as - we read the questions, if you can read the kanji, as Hitomi responds.
Then a man comes into a scene in just his undershorts. Hitomi takes off her top but has a bikini top beneath her outer clothes. This guy will rub himself, play with her body, and finally have his orgasm between her breasts which have remained covered by the bikini top throughout.
The sex play with another man becomes more intense. There’s oral sex, mutual masturbation, and ultimately Hitomi has intercourse with this man.
It takes a third sex scene, more than 90 minutes into the DVD before Hitomi unwraps her hooters. She’s now totally nude and really enjoys herself, as she is being screwed.
Summary: Hitomi as usual still looks as beautiful as ever. Her teeth aren’t perfect but her shy smiles make it seem as if her smile is outstanding. Her figure is outstanding, and that’s being asminimal as possible, but between you and me, she looked better, and her DVD’s were really more enjoyable when you had to use your imagination.
I’ll rate this at three point zero. It’s not Hitomi who has cost this DVD some rating points. I’ll lay this at the feet of the producers at SOD who likely had Hitomi’s entire career path fully planned even before the very first image of Hitomi was ever released. As a marketing strategy, it was a huge success. I expect the sales of this DVD will rake in a lot of Japanese Yen.
But as a consumer, you’ll have to ask yourself if you enjoyed the manipulation? Certainly, it was a thrilling ride of high expectations. However, the end product, this DVD, didn’t really float my boat; hence the marked down review. I was let down, disappointed.
In other words, once this spectacular model shed her clothes, and joined the thousands and thousands of other models who have been paid to perform sexually on screen in Japan, she’s lost her standing - no longer may we say she’s one in a million.

Hitomi is just another Rin Aoki now. Another girl with saggy boobs who f**ks for money.
AV is chocca with girls who are prettier, bustier and with more aesthetic hooters.
How can she compete ?
She should have stayed covered up, like you said; this way she was ‘a special’ talent. But uncovered, her boobs could never live up to our expectations.

Hitomi is a beauty, of this there’s no doubt - and maybe her future AV’s will be better. But make no mistake, the producers, SOD/Star, who engineered this campaign, and created the high expectations should have done a better job with her debut AV DVD.
Let’s not fault the model for the disappointing DVD.
As for Rin Aoki, I watched many of her gravure DVD’s. But only 1 of her many AV titles. But I would not put Hitomi in the same category as Rin. They may be in the same category as to occupation (AV performer); but for appearance only - I’ll take Hitomi over Rin everyday of the week.

First, thank you for your review, JMM. I’ve enjoyed your posts now for many years, starting way back when on bea. Anyway, I haven’t ever commented here, but I feel compelled after watching this video. Here it goes: I’m more than disappointed with this video. It’s just sad how one of my very favorite models, who, no exaggeration, has one of the hottest bodies I’ve ever seen, finish up as anything less than a one in a million model. It’s not that she’s taken off her top…on the contrary, this has been a dream…but it unfortunately was not a topless scene quite like the scenes we’ve been enjoying for all this time. It has turned out to be a beautiful woman suddenly being put in a very uncomfortable spot. It’s just painful to watch the expression on her face while she was dealing with these immature guys. I doubt she will ever look quite the same in front of the camera, and that’s unfortunate.

As to how they do it over there (In Japan), I seem to recall that another very big busted Japanese AV Model seemed to always have a look on her face that said something like –

Hi I think you’re being a little harsh on her - I enjoyed her AV DVD. She has an amazing body - Rin Aioki, whose AV I could barely watch is not in her league.
I also thought she looked comparatively comfortable in her AV debut. Anna Ohura, who also had an amazing body was never comfortable in AV and that distracted from her vids.
My only hope is she doesn’t venture into the seedier JAV genres and maintains her playful innocent style (hard I know).

Hey Matt - The Term AV or JAV stands for Adult Video or Japanese Adult Video. It simply means that the video contains nudity and sexual acts.
IV is another term, and this means Idol Video. An Idol Video does not contain nudity or sexual acts.

Greeves may be responding to Blue Khaki’s comments rather than to my review as I wasn’t harsh about Hitomi.
I didn’t give the DVD a high rating, but I didn’t trash Hitomi. I said that I liked her DVD’s better when I had to use my imagination. I also did not mention Rin Aoki in my review. She was mentioned by Blue Khaki first.
He (Blue Khaki) has his opinion, I have mine, and Greeves has his. On the other hand, elsewhere I read a comment by someone that this was the best porn video he’d ever watched. And so it goes.

Hey JMM. Your review is SPOT ON! It’s sad to see Hitomi enter the AV world. I’d have preferred if she made a nude IV instead. She could have gained “goddess” status like Kadena Reon by sticking to Image Videos (or Idol Videos), but in a world where money talks, it was bound to happen. I’m sure she got paid a good amount for her reveal, but any video after this one will just be another AV to me.

Thanks for the comments. Personally I am not against idols going in for Adult Videos. In the west, Big Bust idols like Chloe Vevrier and Linsey Dawn McKenzie eventually turned the page and made hardcore videos. Chloe’s XXX vodeos were nothing special. While Lindsey’s were better. I still preferred in her typica; Boob Cruise mode.
If an IV model like Hitomi is going to do AV, then we hope that the videos are good and would command a favorable response. If this is the case, then I am on board. As for Hitomi, I think had she made a BETTER AV video, I would have been pleased to give it a favorable review.
Just because her figure is stunning this alone does not guarantee that her AV video would be equally stunning. In fact AV has more likely a chance of being a bad DVD - unless you have a director who is truly in tune with what makes the model special.
Many of Hitomi’s fans will come to recognize this ONCE they see her in a better DVD. Remember what I said earlier - I liked her DVDs better when you had to use your imagination. The more AV she turns out, the more alike those DVDs will be, and people will be looking for a new idol to replace her.

I’m going to have to agree with your rating. Her final scene I’d give a 4, maybe a 4.5 since she actually looked like she was enjoying herself which is quite rare (IMO) for JAV stars, especially in a debut. I was also surprised when I saw she shaved down there, something I’ve never seen an AV idol do. I’m not a fan of the baby bare look, but it was a nice change of pace from the, shall we ay, shrubbery most JAV stars rock. But as for the rest of it, the video did seem like way too much padding before the main event. That she didn’t even take it all off until the final scene is pretty inexcusable and SOD has every right to be chastised for that. Judging by its cover, here’s hoping her next video will give us more action for our money. I do rather enjoy the beach sex titles.

I chose not to comment on ’shrubbery’ as you called it, or lack of bush, as I might call it, because that is really a personal preference. If you’re watching a DVD, then depending on whether she has been shaved or not, then you can say if it is pleasing or not, but it really the woman’s call, not mine, or yours. And from my perspective in reviewing the DVD, the lack of bush, should not be a factor in the review.
As for her future releases, we can only hope and at the same time commiserate with each other about the fact that SOD has certainly got us in a vise., as we dare not miss the next one.

While it’s true that this is not her best DVD, and even less an spectacular AV debut one, THOSE ARE STILL SOME HUGE TITS!!! As everybody says, now she is not an idol to fantasied over, now that we know what’s under the clothes, but I still think we take this as a grain of salt and wait for more DVDs to have a complete opinion. Sadly, this is the fate of most of the women in an industry like this, with the “talents” she has.

You make some excellent poits.
I think with any model who has a lengthy career, or a short career, that within that framework of multiple DVD’s; some will be better than others. If you realize this, and expect this, then you can look at a single DVD from a specific model and make an informed decision about whether or not you liked the DVD.
If you like a model, and seen most if not all of their releases, it becomes easier to separate the model from the DVD.
I do like this model but I thought this DVD didn’t merit a strong positive review.

Hitomi chan has the most spectacular breasts in the industry, and this video proves it, although it could have done a much better job of showcasing just how udderly amazing her breasts are. The fact that her right breast is noticeably bigger than her left, and the fact that her breasts (especially her right breast) sag so heavily and deliciously only adds to her charm.
I always thought Rin Aoki had the best hangers, but it looks like Hitomi (again, especially her right breast) has even greater hangers!!
My only complaint is that Hitomi appears to be very self-conscious about her hanging breasts, and noticeably tries to hide how far they sag in this video. LET THEM HANG IN ALL THEIR NATURAL GLORY, PLEASE!!

I too like Hitomi’s boobs, but I think they are more impressive under some clothing than truly bare. Of course I will change my mind If I see her naked in a shower scene. That’s what I’m hoping for.
As for being self-conscious, this was her first AV. She’s bound to forget about the cameras soon enough.

Being unique is overrated. The fact that she actually ended her cockteasing instead of continuing it ad nauseum is immensely satisfying. The DVD could have been better, yes, but that’s no reason to whine that she should have stayed clothed.

Yeah, the key phrase is …..

Also I don’t think anyone said she should stayed clothed and meant it literally. I think they are stating that they prefer the Idol genre (clothed and teasing) rather than the naked and fucking genre.
Either way - Hitomi DVD’s will sell and be watched until she stops making therm. And after THAT, there will still be comments and discussion.
